In a frenzy of Instructables exploration, I discovered self styled chip hoppers, 8BITches (cool site design by the way). They've produced several cool videos that I hereby pimp for your pleasure. Check out their gear. Some is created from top secret extra terrestrial blueprints, some is just your run of the mill quartet of (different coloured) Gameboys. The Korg is kinda cheating but everyone loves a vocoder, even Cher. Che also goes into more detail about his Gameboy rig and the homebrew 4 track sequencer he uses to cook up beats. The C64 and the Atari 2600 just seem to there for effect but if you set up a Beowulf cluster with all that hardware, you could probably run a torrent site, complete with porn ads. Still want more?
